Job Title: Design EngineerJob Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to create, modify, and optimize engineering designs for our products and systems. The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate technical drawings, improving product performance, and supporting manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D & 3D designs using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools
- Develop and review engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
- Modify existing designs to improve performance, cost efficiency, and durability
- Conduct design calculations and analysis to validate concepts
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation
- Support troubleshooting and resolve design-related issues during production
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate with vendors and clients for design approvals and customization
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo)
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, etc.)
- Good communication skills
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience: 10 years
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in machine design / industrial equipment / fabrication
- Knowledge of sheet metal, conveyors, or automation systems
- Familiarity with ERP systems and documentation processes
