About the Role:
Muks Robotics is building the next generation of intelligent humanoid robots and AI-powered automation systems. We are looking for a passionate Production Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is excited about transforming innovative designs into world-class robotic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the production and assembly of humanoid robots and robotic subsystems.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day manufacturing operations while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and assembly documentation.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electronics, Embedded, AI, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless production.
- Manage mechanical assembly, integration, and final system build of robotic products.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce assembly time.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabrication, machining, laser cutting, sheet metal, and purchased components.
- Ensure proper inventory planning and material availability for uninterrupted production.
- Perform root cause analysis for manufacturing and assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and transition to production.
- Maintain high standards of quality, workplace safety, and 5S practices.
- Monitor production progress and prepare daily and weekly production reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production, manufacturing, or assembly.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and 3D printing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in robotics, automation, automotive product manufacturing is a plus.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronics assembly is an advantage.
