We are hiring for the position of Purchase Engineer at our Daman Works Unit.
Position: Purchase Engineer
Qualification: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 0 to 2 Years (Freshers can also apply)
Key Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Purchase & Procurement activities
- Understanding of Mechanical Components, Drawings & Manufacturing Processes
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP (Preferred)
- Strong analytical and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Float RFQs and obtain quotations from vendors
- Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Planning departments
- Track material deliveries to ensure timely availability
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Maintain purchase records and documentation in ERP
- Support cost optimization and sourcing activities
