Job description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building out our sales and marketing strategy, sales forecasting reports, and sales pipeline. You will then monitor our sales performance with the goal of expanding our company's market share. Your collaborative nature and will help you succeed when coordinating with external distributors and internal sales and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets for research and laboratory chemicals.
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the designated area.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and their needs.
- Generate leads, follow up on sales inquiries, and conduct sales presentations.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, including research institutions, laboratories, and universities.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions and recommendations.
- Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction through effective resolution.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, manage, and motivate the area sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to the sales team.
- Monitor team performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Product Knowledge and Support:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s research and laboratory chemicals, including their features, benefits, and applications.
- Provide technical support and product training to customers and sales team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using CRM software.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with customers.
- Close sales agreements and achieve sales targets.
- Ensure timely follow-up on pending deals and opportunities.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer service, to achieve business objectives.
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer insights and market feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales management, particularly in the research and laboratory chemicals sector minimun 4-5 Years of experience.
- Strong understanding of research and laboratory chemicals and their market applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
