Position Summary
The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to students of Std. 1 to 4 through engaging, activity-based, and concept-oriented methodologies aligned with CBSE and NEP 2020 guidelines. The teacher will focus on developing logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and numeracy skills in a positive and child-friendly learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to students from Std. 1 to 4 as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching-learning materials.
- Use innovative and activity-based teaching methods to make mathematical concepts easy to understand.
- Develop students' numerical, analytical, and logical reasoning skills.
- Integrate real-life applications of Mathematics into classroom teaching.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and maintain academic records.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage active student participation.
- Support diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom activities.
Student Development
- Identify and support students requiring additional academic assistance.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivate students to participate in Mathematics-related competitions, activities, and projects.
- Foster confidence and a positive attitude toward Mathematics.
Parent and School Collaboration
- Communicate student progress effectively with parents.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), school functions, and academic events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership for curriculum planning and student development.
- Attend workshops, training programs, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. is preferred.
- CTET/TET qualification will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and NEP 2020 framework.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in Primary School (Std. 1 to 4).
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills may also apply.
