PACCAR India is looking for a skilled Technical Lead for Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune, specializing in the design development of electrical systems for heavy-duty trucks
As a Technical Lead at PACCAR, you will leverage your expertise in Heavy and Medium Duty Vehicle layout development, component packaging, installation drawing, and coordination with cross functional team to ensure Vehicle electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently and compliance with technical requirements.

Job Function / Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of electrical systems, subsystems, and components for Heavy and Medium Duty Vehicle applications
Provide technical direction for electrical architecture, wiring harnesses, power distribution, controls, and related systems
Review and approve electrical schematics, layouts, specifications, and design changes
Drive issue resolution related to electrical performance, reliability, validation, and manufacturing
Develop concepts for wiring harness routing.
Select appropriate connectors for both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) wiring harness systems.
Demonstrate knowledge of ICE & Electric Vehicle architecture and associated components.
Design routing, clamping, fixation, and insulation strategies for HV and LV cables.
Conduct technical reviews in collaboration with all stakeholders.
Provide support for component and part development activities.
Create schematics, 2D wiring harness designs, and installation drawings.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues effectively.
Coordinate and interact with suppliers for technical requirements.
Engage with customers and internal teams for technical discussions and alignment.
Prepare detailed wiring harness installation drawings.
The primary function for this position includes:
Proven experience in Heavy Duty Engine Design and Development
Independent project handling and project management
Strong knowledge of Casting Components, Sheet Metal Design, and Piping Systems
Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes
Provide technical assistance to teams and ensure their productivity and delivery deadline.
Hands-on experience with Top-Down Design, Skeleton Modelling, and Assembly Structure development in Creo
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience in Electrical engineering.
Strong proficiency in Creo and Windchill.
Experience with Heavy and Medium Duty vehicle electrical architecture
Knowledge about wiring harness child parts & its selection.
Good knowledge of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) wiring harness systems
Must have extensive knowledge of automotive electrical circuit schematics of ICE & EV
Must have knowledge of electrical wiring harness manufacturing.
Exposure to cross-functional projects with basic understanding of mechanical design for fixation of wiring harnesses.
Knowledge of auto electrical global standards & testing methods
Ability to collaborate with both local and global engineering teams.
