Job Description
Area Sales ManagerWe are looking for an experienced and result-driven Area Sales Manager to lead Area sales across the assigned territory. The role is responsible for driving business growth, strengthening distribution, leading a high-performing sales team, and ensuring excellent execution across retail markets.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in FMCG, OTC, Consumer Healthcare, or Personal Care, along with proven experience in territory management and team leadership.

Drive primary and secondary sales to achieve business objectives.

Develop and execute territory business plans and sales strategies.

Forecast monthly and quarterly sales and monitor business performance.

Analyse market trends, competition, and identify growth opportunities.

Resolve customer complaints and ensure superior customer service.

Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and other support functions to ensure seamless business operations.

Develop and strengthen distributor networks across the territory.

Ensure optimum stock availability and efficient inventory management.

Monitor distributor performance, collections, and billing processes.

Manage CFA operations to ensure smooth supply chain execution.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), Territory Sales Incharges (TSIs), and Sales Officers (SOs).

Conduct regular joint field visits to improve selling effectiveness and market execution.

Drive product detailing, merchandising, visibility, and promotional excellence.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability development of sales team members.

Ensure timely reporting and adherence to company processes.

Graduate (MBA/PGDBM preferred)

6–10 years of sales experience in FMCG, OTC, Consumer Healthcare, or Personal Care.

Proven experience in managing distributors, retail channels, and field sales teams.

Strong understanding of primary & secondary sales, distribution management, and territory planning.
