We are looking for a Junior Engineer with basic to intermediate knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949 documentation, and automotive quality core tools.
The candidate should also have good technical understanding of PCB, PCBA, electronic components, BOM, drawings, and manufacturing processes. The role will support the Engineering teams in preparing, maintaining, and controlling quality documents for new products and engineering changes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Documentation
- Support preparation and maintenance of APQP documents for new product development.
- Maintain APQP timing plans and track project activities.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Purchase teams for required inputs.
- Follow up on open APQP actions and ensure timely closure.
- Maintain APQP records and documentation as per customer requirements.
2. PPAP Documentation
- Assist in preparing PPAP submissions as per customer requirements.
- Prepare, collect, and maintain PPAP documents, including:
- Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
- Process Flow Diagram
- PFMEA
- Control Plan
- Dimensional Inspection Report
- Material / Performance Test Reports
- MSA Reports
- Process Capability Studies
- Engineering Change Documents
- Sample / Master Sample Records
- Customer-specific requirements
- Check documents for completeness, accuracy, revision status, and traceability.
- Support PPAP submission and follow-up with customers and internal departments.
3. IATF 16949 Documentation
- Support preparation and maintenance of documents related to IATF 16949.
- Maintain quality records, formats, procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards.
- Support document revision and change-control activities.
- Assist during internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Ensure quality records are properly maintained and available for audit.
4. Core Quality Tools
Develop working knowledge and support implementation of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- PFMEA
- Control Plan
- MSA
- SPC
- 8D
- 5 Why
- Fishbone Analysis
- CAPA
- Root Cause Analysis
5. PCB / PCBA Technical Responsibilities
- Understand basic construction and types of PCB.
- Read and understand PCB drawings, specifications, BOMs, and component datasheets.
- Identify common electronic components such as:
- Resistors
- Capacitors
- Diodes
- Transistors
- ICs
- Connectors
- Inductors
- Relays
- Understand common PCBA defects such as solder bridging, insufficient solder, tombstoning, component misplacement, open/short circuits, and solder voids.
- Support investigation of PCB/PCBA quality issues.
6. Quality Inspection & Process Support
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Assist in preparing inspection standards and check sheets.
- Support collection and analysis of quality data.
- Assist in monitoring process performance and defects.
- Support preparation of SPC and process capability reports.
- Maintain product and process traceability records.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have 0–3 years of experience and a basic-to-intermediate understanding of PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and IATF 16949 documentation.
He/She should also be technically comfortable with PCB, PCBA, SMT/THT processes, electronic components, BOMs, drawings, and basic quality inspection.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
