About the Role
ROMS N RAKS Pet Grooming Academy is looking for a passionate and results-driven Student Counselor to guide prospective students through their learning journey while driving admissions through effective counselling and telesales. This is a target-based role that requires excellent communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a customer-centric approach to convert enquiries into successful admissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students regarding academy courses, career opportunities, and the admission process.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to generate admissions and achieve enrollment targets.
- Follow up with leads through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and address their queries effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, admissions, and student interactions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth admission and onboarding process.
- Support academy operations and administrative activities as required.
- Assist in social media engagement and promotional activities to generate leads.
- Ensure timely documentation and adherence to admission processes.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates with B.Com, BBA, BSW, or MSW qualifications.
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in:
- Student Counselling
- Telesales
- Educational Admissions
- Customer Relationship Management
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English, Hindi, and Malayalam is mandatory.
- Tamil language proficiency is desirable.
- Strong counselling and persuasion skills.
- Active listening and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven ability to achieve lead conversion and admission targets.
- Good documentation, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency including MS Office, Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with social media platforms for lead generation and student engagement.
- Understanding of customer service and sales processes.
- Passion for working with students and a genuine interest in the pet grooming industry. Being a pet lover is an added advantage.
