Job Summary
The Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) – Level III is responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring the hospital's radiation safety program within the Nuclear Medicine department. The RSO ensures compliance with all applicable radiation safety regulations, safe handling of radioactive materials, radiation monitoring, waste management, emergency preparedness, and staff training while supporting high standards of patient care and quality assurance.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable national radiation safety regulations, licensing requirements, and hospital policies.
- Maintain valid licenses, authorizations, and regulatory records related to the Nuclear Medicine facility.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to radiation protection standards and quality assurance programs.
Radiation Safety Program
- Develop, implement, review, and update the Radiation Safety Manual, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct routine radiation safety inspections and workplace monitoring.
- Monitor radiation exposure levels within controlled and supervised areas.
- Ensure appropriate radiation warning signs, labels, and access controls are maintained.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per month
