Metamint Alloys India Pvt. Ltd. is a forward-looking aluminium ingot manufacturer with a modern facility located at Supa MIDC. With a foundation rooted in over 25 years of industry experience, we focus on delivering consistent, high-quality recycled aluminium products. We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of maintaining strict quality control across all stages of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials, particularly aluminium scrap
- Perform in-process checks and monitor critical parameters during melting and casting
- Operate the Amtek Spectrometer to verify chemical composition of molten metal and finished ingots
- Maintain and update test reports, inspection records, and quality logs
- Ensure that final products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards
- Investigate product rejections or quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure process quality improvements
- Assist during internal/external audits and support documentation for ISO 9001 compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in metal or foundry industry
- Hands-on experience using Amtek Spectrometer is mandatory
- Knowledge of metallurgical testing methods and physical inspection tools
- Familiarity with QMS documentation and problem-solving tools (RCA, 5 Whys, etc.)
- Attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
- Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and report preparation
