Perform end-to-end Verification and Validation (V&V) activities across the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test design, execution, and automation.
Analyze system and software requirements to derive comprehensive test specifications and verification criteria, with a focus on Passive Safety systems.
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases using industry-standard test design techniques.
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using CAPL, Python, or Java.
Execute communication and diagnostic testing using CAN, CAN-FD, CANTP, and UDS protocols.
Perform ECU-level testing using Vector tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANStress.
Prepare, review, and maintain test artifacts including test plans, test reports, traceability matrices, and review documentation.
Conduct embedded and hardware-in-the-loop testing, utilizing lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, and function generators.
Ensure safe hardware handling practices, including ESD compliance.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support defect analysis, debugging, and resolution.
Provide accurate task estimates and regular progress updates to the Test Lead to support project planning and tracking.
Identify opportunities for process, product, and infrastructure improvements and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Share insights, technical observations, and best practices during team discussions, fostering a strong collaborative and quality-driven culture.
Adapt to changing project requirements and support shift or overlap working hours when required.
Experience
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test case design techniques.
Solid working knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, CANTP, and UDS.
Proven experience in automation scripting using CAPL, Python, or Java.
Hands-on experience with Vector tools: CANalyzer, CANoe, CANStress.
Experience in embedded testing of automotive ECUs; exposure to Passive Safety / Airbag systems is a strong advantage.
Good programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of ASPICE and/or CMMI processes.
Experience with Requirements Management tools such as DOORS and CodeBeamer.
Experience with Source and Issue Management tools like PTC and CodeBeamer.
Familiarity with hardware testing environments, lab equipment, and ESD handling practices.
