Senior Presales & Design Engineer – AV

We need a Senior Presales & Design Engineer who doesn't just respond to briefs, but shapes them. Someone who can walk into a client meeting, earn the room's trust in ten minutes, and walk out with a technically airtight design that wins the deal.
This role sits right at the intersection of technical excellence and commercial impact. You'll be the bridge between what clients want and what our teams deliver — and you'll own that bridge completely.
What You'll Actually Do
Design Systems That Impress You'll turn vague client requirements into crisp, comprehensive AV architectures — block diagrams, signal flows, schematic layouts, CAD drawings, device integration logic — the full picture, built to last.
Own the Numbers No hand-waving here. You'll prepare detailed BOQs with real product selections, validate pricing with procurement, and engineer value without ever compromising system performance. Margins matter, and you'll understand why.
Win Rooms, Win Deals You'll present directly to clients, consultants, and PMCs. You'll defend your designs under scrutiny, field hard technical questions mid-negotiation, and give the sales team the technical backbone they need to close complex opportunities.
What You Must Bring (Non-Negotiable)
- 5+ years of hands-on AV system design and presales experience
- Proven track record on mid to large-scale AV projects
- Deep expertise in:
- Control systems — Crestron / Extron / AMX
- DSP platforms — Q-SYS / Biamp / BSS
- Audio system design & video distribution
- AVoIP concepts and architecture
- Strong command of AutoCAD, Visio, and Excel-based BOQ preparation
- The ability to independently own the full presales cycle — start to finish, no hand-holding needed
You'll Stand Out Even More If You Have
- CTS or RCDD certification (or equivalent AV credentials)
- CCNA / CCNP / CompTIA+ — networking chops are a serious plus
- Experience navigating government or institutional tenders
- Relationships with consultants and large EPCs
- Exposure to acoustics integration and lighting control
