Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Create structural and site plans—including grading, drainage, and foundations—using software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and STAAD.Pro.
- Perform math for load capacities, material strength, and hydraulic flow to ensure safety and stability.
- Follow local and international building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
- Meet with architects, project managers, and construction crews to fix design issues and review vendor drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical reports
- Strong grasp of structural analysis, soil mechanics, and material behavior.
- Problem-solving, teamwork, and clear communication
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D civil engineering designs, layouts, and drawings using AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Review topographical maps, geotechnical reports, and environmental survey data.
- Perform structural, hydraulic, and load-bearing calculations for foundations and site grading.
- Ensure all plans meet local building laws, safety rules, and regional engineering standards.
- Prepare material quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQ), and budget forecasts.
- Coordinate smoothly with architects, project managers, and on-site construction contractors.
- Compile and submit official paperwork and permit applications to local government authorities.
- Modify and optimize designs to reduce earthwork, material waste, and total project costs.
- Resolve on-site design challenges and provide clear instructions during construction execution.
- Maintain organized records of design iterations, reports, and revision logs
Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
