About Ojas Foods
Ojas Foods is a Solapur-based besan (gram flour) manufacturing company serving distributors, retailers, and institutional buyers across Maharashtra. We are scaling operations and looking for a reliable, hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day business management.
Role Overview
You will be the central point between ownership, staff, and clients — ensuring smooth factory operations, healthy client relationships, and timely payment recovery. This is a ground-level leadership role suited for someone who can manage people, handle pressure, and take initiative without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Recovery
- Handle incoming and outgoing client calls — address inquiries, take orders, and resolve complaints promptly.
- Follow up with clients on outstanding payments and manage the recovery cycle end-to-end.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and bulk buyers to ensure repeat business.
Staff & Operations Oversight
- Supervise daily factory floor activity — production schedules, worker attendance, and output targets.
- Manage, motivate, and hold accountable a team of floor workers and helpers.
- Coordinate with procurement for raw material (chana dal / yellow peas) availability and quality checks.
- Monitor packaging, dispatch logistics, and delivery timelines.
General Management
- Maintain daily records of production output, sales, expenses, and stock levels.
- Report directly to the owner with regular updates on operations, collections, and any issues.
- Coordinate with transporters and ensure on-time dispatch to clients.
- Handle vendor negotiations for packaging materials and other operational inputs.
- Identify and flag any quality, inventory, or staffing issues before they escalate.
Who Should Apply
- 3–7 years of experience in operations, sales, or general management — preferably in FMCG, food manufacturing, or trading.
- Comfortable making 20–30 calls a day and following up firmly but professionally on payments.
- Fluent in Marathi and Hindi; basic English is a plus.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Solapur.
- Able to manage blue-collar staff with authority and respect.
- Basic familiarity with maintaining records (registers, Excel, or apps).
