Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Centre Engineer to lead data centre operations, maintenance, and infrastructure management. The role is responsible for ensuring 24x7 availability and reliability of critical data centre services, including network connectivity through copper and fibre optic cabling infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include the management of server racks and cabinets, power distribution and connectivity within and between racks, cooling and air-conditioning systems, and overall facility infrastructure. The position also requires ensuring compliance with operational standards, audit requirements, and industry best practices, while maintaining a secure, efficient, and highly available data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. DC Operations & Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain all DC infrastructure including racks, UPS, DG, HVAC, fire suppression, and BMS.
- Ensure proper cable management, rack redressing, and housekeeping as per standards.
2. Installation & Support
- Lead installation of new racks, servers, network equipment and patch panel dressing.
- Coordinate with vendors for DC shifts, hardware deployment, and decommissioning.
3. Audit & Compliance
- Ensure DC meets ISO, SOC2, and internal audit compliance.
- Maintain documentation for DC cleaning, access logs, and asset management.
- Address audit observations and implement corrective actions.
4. Incident & Problem Management
- Act as L2/L3 support for DC incidents. Root cause analysis and permanent resolution.
- Manage key access, key cupboard maintenance, and physical security protocols.
5. Team Coordination & Training
- Coordinate with facilities, network, and server teams for downtime activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: B.E /B.Tech/Diploma in IT, Electronics, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years in Data Centre operations and infrastructure management.
Technical Skills:
- Rack & stack, structured cabling, power distribution, cooling management.
- Knowledge of DCIM tools, BMS, and monitoring systems.
- Basic knowledge of servers, storage, and network hardware.
Soft Skills: Strong coordination, documentation, and audit handling skills.
Certifications: DC Professional, ITIL, or equivalent preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience in multi-location DC management.
- Exposure to audit processes and compliance documentation.
- Willingness to work in shifts and during weekends for critical activities.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
