POSITION SUMMARY:
BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a Freelance Paint Artist as a full-time Freelancing role. The position is based out of Chennai.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing high-quality paintwork and digital restoration on complex visual effects shots.

Coordinating with junior artists and co-artists on assigned tasks in a Shot-Captain capacity.

Ensuring the on-time delivery of shots and providing regular internal status updates to the team.

Mentoring new entrants into the team and conducting technical training sessions as required.

Solving technical issues internal to the project and team to maintain workflow efficiency.

Supporting the lead artists by performing the first level of Quality Control (QC) on completed work.

Collaborating with the production team to meet specific project timelines and client requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS

Proven experience working in a professional VFX paint department on complex sequences.

Exceptional proficiency in at least one industry-standard paint software such as Silhouette or Nuke.

Advanced proficiency in creating clean plates and performing invisible digital surgery.

Additional knowledge of Rotoscopy and 2D/3D tracking is considered a significant advantage.

Strong artistic vision, creative thinking ability, and a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment while managing project deadlines effectively.

Candidates with a Fine Arts background are preferred, though it is not a mandatory requirement.
