Manage day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping for ensuring accurate books, timely reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and support for finance operations (billing, collections, payments).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger: record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and post accruals and adjustments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Manage accounts receivable: prepare and issue invoices, track collections, reconcile customer accounts, assist in aging & recovery.
- Manage accounts payable: process vendor invoices, verify GRNs/POs, schedule payments and reconcile supplier statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain cashbook; prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, cost tracking and monthly financial closings.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (CA Inter/ICWA part-qualified or full qualification preferred).
- 2–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, steel, or trading environments.
- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, payroll and statutory compliance.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and strong numerical skills.
- Maintain fixed asset register and process depreciation entries.
- Support internal controls: ensure documentation, approval workflows and adherence to company policies.
- Provide data and reports for audits; coordinate with external auditors during periodic audits.
