Objectives of the role
Build, foster and maintain long-term and high-quality relationships with important customers at all levels including senior management
Identify customer needs and bridge this gap through effective solutions that increase the company’s profitability
Increase Yokogawa share in Major customers and meet revenue objectives
Improve customer satisfaction, particularly in the case of key account holders
Boost customer loyalty by developing and organising customer service initiatives that satisfy the key account holders
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong, trust-based, long-term relationships with key customers at all levels including senior management of Yokogawa and that of the major customers
Work with customer data to identify trends and opportunities that can benefit both the company and our customers. Create and implement account plans to maximize revenue, and leverage upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
Handle customer complaints, and resolve them by executing appropriate solution
Track, analyse, and report key account metrics, progress, and goals to the stakeholders
Lead contract negotiations and ensure profitable terms for both parties
Act as the key point of contact for all matters relating to assigned customers, bridging communication between customer needs and internal teams.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation), business administration, marketing, sales or related field
Demonstrable experience working as a key account manager or in a similar job profile with minimum five years of experience in that role
Adequate Working knowledge of MS Office
Outstanding negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple customers without compromising on the quality or integrity of the solutions/ services provided
Strong Analytical skills and ability to develop suitable marketing strategies for each major customer
Strong ability to analyse data, identify trends, and use analytics to identify opportunities and challenges and drive decisions
Strategic thinking with the ability to identify growth opportunities
Excellent communication (Written and Oral), negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent language command in English and Hindi.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Knowledge on Control systems/Safety Systems/ Field Instruments (Preferably on Yokogawa solutions)
Prior experience in handling major accounts
Knowledge of customer segmentation and customer acquisition strategies
