Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain quality standards, and optimize productivity. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, experience in manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage production teams efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to meet production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Supervise and lead production supervisors, operators, and shop floor employees.
- Optimize machine utilization and improve production efficiency.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials and coordinate with stores and procurement teams.
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and company standards.
- Implement and maintain safety policies and statutory compliance on the shop floor.
- Analyze production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Minimize production downtime through effective planning and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, and HR departments for smooth operations.
- Handle manpower planning, shift allocation, and employee performance monitoring.
- Resolve production-related issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10- 15 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, including experience in production supervision or management.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of quality management systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and manufacturing compliance.
- Ability to analyze production reports and implement process improvements.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP/production management software.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Age above 35 years.
- Proven experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
