As our Accounting Executive, you will be the cornerstone of our financial department, responsible for accurate transactional processing, complete financial reporting, and ensuring the business maintains 100% compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other relevant tax regulations.
This role is essential for our financial health and legal operation in the retail furniture sector.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Finance
Financial Record Management: Oversee and manage the General Ledger, ensuring all day-to-day transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage the full AP/AR cycle, including timely vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collection follow-ups.
Inventory & Costing: Work closely with the operations team to reconcile physical inventory counts and accurately determine product Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Bank & Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and supplier/customer ledgers.
GST & Statutory Compliance (Crucial Focus)
GST Filing: Take ownership of preparing and filing accurate monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) in a timely manner.
Input Tax Credit (ITC): Ensure the correct and maximum utilization of Input Tax Credit by meticulously reconciling purchase invoices with GSTR-2A/2B data.
E-Way Bill Management: Oversee the generation and tracking of E-Way Bills for the movement of goods, ensuring full compliance.
TDS/TCS Compliance: Handle calculation, payment, and return filing for TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and TCS (Tax Collected at Source).
Documentation & Audit: Maintain organized and detailed records of all GST-related transactions, invoices, and challans to facilitate internal and external audits/assessments.
Staying Updated: Stay current with changes in GST and other tax laws and implement necessary adjustments in the company's accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree 2-3 years of business experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to harness financial data to inform decisions
