Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bakery Chef to prepare a variety of fresh baked products, including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, desserts, and other bakery items. The ideal candidate should have strong baking skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, muffins, and desserts.
- Develop and innovate new bakery recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and product quality.
- Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for bakery ingredients when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery as per food safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Supervise bakery assistants and train junior staff when required.
- Ensure all products are prepared within the specified timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef, Pastry Chef, or Baker.
- Diploma or certification in Bakery & Confectionery or Culinary Arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.
- Experience in cake decoration and dessert preparation is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Creativity with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotational shifts.
