A Robot CAD Designer is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D designs of robotic systems, components, and assemblies using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. They work closely with mechanical, electrical, and robotics engineers to develop manufacturable and functional robot designs.

Position: Robot CAD Designer
Department: Engineering / Robotics
Reports To: Mechanical Design Engineer / Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings of robotic components and assemblies.
- Design mechanical parts such as frames, brackets, gear systems, end-effectors, and housings.
- Develop assembly layouts and ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturability.
- Modify existing designs based on testing results and engineering feedback.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams during product development.
- Perform tolerance analysis and support design validation activities.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety requirements.
- Support prototype development and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain revision control and design records.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software such as:
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Inventor
- CATIA
- PTC Creo
- AutoCAD
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of materials, tolerances, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with robotics components such as motors, sensors, actuators, and gearboxes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD modeling and engineering documentation.
- Internship or project experience in robotics is often preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
