Prithvi Animal Welfare Society, a veterinary NGO in Kovalam, Tamil Nadu, is looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian. The ideal candidate should have strong diagnostic experience with dogs and cats, a keen interest in animal welfare , and an empathetic personality. At PAWS, you will work alongside a dedicated team and have the opportunity to gain experience in animal birth control surgeries while ensuring high standards of animal care and welfare.
Responsibilities :
- Develop Treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Diagnose and treat small animals in OPD and IPD.
- Perform basic surgical procedures such as wound suturing and minor surgeries.
- Assist in Animal Birth Control (ABC) and sterilization programs.
- Handle emergency and critical care cases.
- Ensure adherence to animal welfare and clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with the veterinary and shelter teams for holistic animal care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and case histories.
Requirements :
- BVSc and AH degree ( mandatory )
- 5-8 years of diagnostic experience in dogs and cats
- Strong clinical and problem - solving skills.
- Keen interest in animal welfare and rescue medicine.
- Empathetic personality with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
