A Garments Cutting Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the fabric cutting process in a garment manufacturing unit to ensure accuracy, productivity, and minimal fabric wastage.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily cutting schedules based on production targets.
- Review marker plans and fabric consumption.
- Supervise fabric spreading and cutting operations.
- Ensure cut panels meet quality specifications.
- Minimize fabric wastage and improve efficiency.
- Manage cutting room staff, including cutters, spreaders, and helpers.
- Coordinate with production, merchandising, fabric stores, and quality teams.
- Maintain cutting machines and ensure workplace safety.
- Monitor production reports and achieve delivery deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in marker planning and fabric utilization.
- Familiarity with cutting equipment (straight knife, band knife, automatic cutting machines).
- Leadership and team management.
- Production planning and problem-solving.
- Quality control and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems, production software).
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
