Job Summary
The Logistics Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, procurement, inventory management, and related subjects. The role includes curriculum development, student assessment, academic mentoring, industry engagement, and contribution to institutional growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical sessions in logistics and supply chain management.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, presentations, and assessments.
- Utilize modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
- Conduct laboratory, simulation, or case-study-based learning activities where applicable.
Curriculum Development
- Design, review, and update course content in line with industry requirements.
- Develop learning outcomes, assignments, projects, and examination materials.
- Incorporate emerging trends in logistics, supply chain, digital transformation, and sustainability.
Student Assessment & Mentoring
- Evaluate assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance.
- Mentor students for internships, industry projects, and career development.
Industry Engagement
- Build relationships with logistics companies and industry partners.
- Coordinate internships, industrial visits, guest lectures, and placement activities.
- Stay updated on current industry practices and regulations.
Research & Academic Contribution
- Participate in research, publications, seminars, and conferences.
- Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and academic committees.
- Support departmental and institutional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- PhD (preferred for senior academic positions).
- Relevant teaching and/or industry experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation, procurement, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and logistics-related software.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred Certifications
- APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP)
- CILT certification
- SAP Supply Chain or ERP-related certifications
- Other relevant logistics and supply chain certifications

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
