Position Overview
We are looking for passionate and skilled Chinese Chef – Commi 1 & Commi 2 to join our newly opened restaurant in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Chinese cuisine preparation, knowledge of kitchen operations, and the ability to maintain food quality and hygiene standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes as per restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist in daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Support senior chefs during busy operations
- Monitor stock levels and inform the kitchen team about shortages
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
- Work efficiently as part of the kitchen team
Requirements
- Experience in Chinese cuisine preferred
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience for Commi roles
- Basic knowledge of wok cooking, sauces, and food preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts and weekends
