Pastry Chef – Job Description
Location: Pune
Job Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking and desserts, has strong technical skills, and can consistently produce high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, desserts, and other baked products.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Develop and test new recipes and seasonal offerings.
- Manage mise en place and daily production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and place requisitions when needed.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Minimize wastage and maintain portion control.
- Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and dessert preparation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts.
