Lavnor India Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing contract manufacturing company specializing in perfumes, deodorants, body sprays, aerosols, and personal care products. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Aerosol Machine Operator (Operation & Maintenance) who can independently operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize automatic aerosol filling machines while ensuring maximum uptime, production efficiency, and product quality.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving mechanical problems and have hands-on experience maintaining aerosol filling equipment without relying on external service engineers for routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor automatic and semi-automatic aerosol filling machines, gas charging machines, valve insertion machines, crimping machines, coding machines, and associated production equipment.
- Perform complete machine setup, product changeovers, machine adjustments, and parameter settings for different products and pack sizes.
- Monitor production quality, filling accuracy, gas charging, crimp quality, leak testing, and overall machine performance throughout production.
- Independently troubleshoot machine breakdowns and identify mechanical, pneumatic, or operational faults to minimize production downtime.
- Replace routine maintenance and wear-and-tear components such as seals, O-rings, gaskets, bearings, belts, rollers, springs, nozzles, hoses, pneumatic fittings, valves, cylinders, sensors, filters, and other serviceable machine parts whenever required.
- Carry out first-level mechanical maintenance, adjustments, alignments, lubrication, calibration, and preventive maintenance to keep machines operating efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team only for major repairs involving PLCs, servo systems, motors, electrical panels, drives, or other core machine components.
- Maintain machine maintenance records, breakdown reports, preventive maintenance schedules, and production logbooks.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, safety procedures, and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, Planning, and Maintenance teams to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure machinery and work areas remain clean, safe, and production-ready.
- Guide and train junior operators and production workers on proper machine operation, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience operating aerosol filling machines in the aerosol, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar manufacturing industry.
- Must have practical experience in troubleshooting aerosol filling machines and independently replacing routine machine components without relying on external service engineers.
- Strong understanding of pneumatic systems, mechanical assemblies, filling systems, crimping systems, gas charging systems, conveyors, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to diagnose machine faults, identify root causes, and restore machines to normal production with minimal downtime.
- Familiarity with production documentation, maintenance records, GMP, workplace safety, and quality systems.
- Willingness to work additional hours whenever required to complete production schedules.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on automatic aerosol filling lines from leading machine manufacturers.
- Practical knowledge of compressed air systems, pneumatic controls, and production utilities.
- Ability to read machine manuals, parts catalogues, and maintenance drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise operators and improve production efficiency.
