Job Purpose
To prepare high-quality food items as per PVR INOX standards, maintain hygiene and food safety, ensure timely service, and support smooth kitchen operations while delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to approved recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently as per company guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, temperature control, and sanitation procedures.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and minimize food wastage.
- Maintain adequate mise en place and ensure timely preparation of orders.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction to the concerned manager.
- Coordinate with the F&B and operations team to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Follow all company policies, SOPs, food safety regulations, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen counters, equipment, utensils, storage areas, and workstations.
- Assist in receiving and checking food supplies as required.
- Monitor portion control and help maintain food cost within the prescribed limits.
- Support the senior chef/manager in menu preparation, new product trials, and kitchen activities.
- Handle customer requirements and special food requests professionally, wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper records related to food preparation, wastage, cleaning, and stock as required.
- Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the management.

Qualification & Experience
- Minimum qualification: 10th/12th pass or relevant culinary qualification.
- Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management will be an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Chef / Commis / Kitchen Staff in a cinema, QSR, restaurant, hotel, food court, or similar food-service environment will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant culinary training may also be considered, depending on the role requirements.
