Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Quality Executive to ensure the quality and compliance of packaging materials used in manufacturing operations. The role involves incoming material inspection, packaging validation, quality testing, vendor quality management, artwork verification, and documentation to ensure packaging materials meet company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support new product development and packaging change projects.
· Coordinate with R&D, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing teams.
· Conduct incoming inspection of packaging materials such as bottles, jars, caps, pumps, labels, and cartons as per approved specifications and AQL standards.
· Perform packaging quality tests including leakage, drop, torque, thickness, weight, compatibility, transit damages and labelling alignment
· Review and verify packaging artwork, labels, barcodes and regulatory compliance requirements.
· Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, COAs and quality documentation.
· Coordinate with suppliers to address packaging related quality issues and ensure effective corrective actions.
· Support packaging trials, validation activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
· Ensure packaging materials and processes comply with company’s quality standards.
Skills Required:
· Knowledge of packaging materials and its Chemistry, quality inspection methods and AQL sampling standards.
· Hands-on experience in packaging quality testing such as leakage, drop, torque, thickness, and compatibility testing.
· Understanding of artwork verification, barcode validation and packaging specifications.
· Familiarity with quality documentation, NCRs, CAPA, and root cause analysis.
· Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and vendor coordination skills.
Educational Qualification:
· B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Packaging Science, Diploma in Packaging Technology, B.E or B.Tech in Packaging Technology.
Experience:
· 1-2 years of experience in packaging development, packaging operations, or cosmetic / pharma / FMCG industry.
· Freshers with relevant internships may be considered.
