Job Summary
The Project Management Officer (PMO) is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, monitoring, governance, and financial control of projects across the organization. The role acts as a bridge between management, project teams, product owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives.
The PMO will drive project governance, operational efficiency, resource optimization, risk management, budgeting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting strategic business goals.
Candidates with a strong technical background and understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), ERP implementations, product development, or IT services environments will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in project initiation, planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and delivery roadmaps.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple departments and teams.
- Ensure projects are executed according to approved scope, timelines, and objectives.
- Track project deliverables and ensure timely completion.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project progress against approved plans and milestones.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports.
- Maintain project dashboards, KPIs, and management reports.
- Present project performance updates to management and stakeholders.
- Escalate project risks, issues, and delays as required.
Project Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to organizational project management standards and methodologies.
- Maintain project governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Conduct project reviews and health checks.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, updated, and maintained.
- Standardize project processes, templates, and reporting mechanisms.
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.
- Track project expenses and budget utilization.
- Monitor project profitability and financial performance.
- Conduct budget variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Finance and Management regarding project financial reviews.
- Ensure optimal utilization of project resources and budgets.
- Support revenue forecasting and project financial planning activities.
Resource Management
- Coordinate resource planning and allocation across projects.
- Monitor resource utilization and productivity levels.
- Identify resource constraints and recommend solutions.
- Support workforce planning and project staffing requirements.
- Ensure effective allocation of internal and external resources.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and track project risks and dependencies.
- Maintain risk and issue registers.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Facilitate issue resolution through coordination with stakeholders.
- Monitor project health and proactively address potential bottlenecks.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate communication among project teams, clients, management, and stakeholders.
- Organize project review meetings and steering committee discussions.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure timely communication of project updates, risks, and decisions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Support operational excellence initiatives across the organization.
- Analyze business processes and recommend improvements.
- Drive process standardization and efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor operational KPIs and support continuous improvement programs.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Maintain project repositories and documentation standards.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
- Ensure lessons learned and best practices are documented.
- Support audit requirements and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain PMO policies, templates, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- MBA or Project Management certification will be an added advantage.
- 7-10 years of experience in PMO, Project Management, Project Coordination, Operations Management, or similar roles.
- Experience in IT Services, ERP Implementation, Software Development, SaaS, or Product-based organizations preferred.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
