Description:
Position Summary
The QA & QC Engineer is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes for the manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning of electrical control panels, including PLC panels, MCC, PCC, and automation systems.
This role involves conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with electrical standards and specifications, developing quality documentation, and verifying that all panels meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability requirements. The engineer will also support installation and commissioning activities to ensure proper system functionality at site.
Duties & responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Implement QA/QC procedures for panel manufacturing and wiring
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings (GA, SLD, wiring diagrams)
- Conduct stage-wise inspections (inward, in-process, final)
- Verify component selection as per BOM and specifications
Panel Inspection & Testing: Perform inspections for:
- Control panels
- PLC panels
- MCC / PCC panels
- Conduct:
- Continuity checks
- Insulation resistance (IR) tests
- Functional testing
- I/O verification
Standards & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to:
- IEC / IS standards
- Safety norms and wiring practices
- Maintain quality records and test reports
- Support ISO documentation and audits
FAT (Factory Acceptance Test):
- Plan and execute FAT with internal teams and customers
- Prepare FAT reports and ensure closure of punch points
- Validate panel performance before dispatch
- Site Support (Installation & Commissioning):
- Support installation teams for correct panel placement and connections
- Verify site wiring and integration
- Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain:
- Inspection reports
- Test certificates
- Quality checklists
- Ensure all documents are updated and stored as per standards
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions
- Work with design and manufacturing teams to improve quality
- Drive zero-defect culture in panel manufacturing
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree or Diploma
- 1- 3 years of experience in Industrial Automation & mechanised automation, digital technology
- Knowledge of relevant Engineering standards
- Interpersonal skills and patience
- Ability of forward planning
- Excellent communication skills, presentation skills, Intrapersonal skills, Interpersonal skills
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
