Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Factory Manager with 15–20 years of expertise in jewellery manufacturing to lead the complete factory operations, drive production efficiency, maintain quality standards, control costs, and ensure timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end jewellery manufacturing operations and production planning.
- Manage departments including CAD/CAM, casting, filing, setting, polishing, plating, finishing, QC, and packing.
- Plan and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual production targets.
- Monitor production capacity, manpower, productivity, and workflow.
- Ensure strict control of gold, diamonds, gemstones, and other precious materials.
- Monitor metal consumption, wastage, recovery, rework, and production losses.
- Maintain high standards of jewellery quality and minimize rejection and defects.
- Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, Procurement, Stores, QC, Sales, and Dispatch teams.
- Establish and improve SOPs, production systems, and quality processes.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Control manufacturing costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage factory manpower, supervisors, departmental heads, and workforce performance.
- Ensure proper maintenance and efficient utilization of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, ERP entries, MIS, and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and workplace safety standards.
- Develop and mentor senior production teams and build a strong performance-driven culture.
- Report production performance, challenges, material reconciliation, and improvement plans to senior management.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of jewellery manufacturing and production management.
- Strong understanding of gold, diamond, gemstone, and precious-metal processes.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, costing, wastage, and productivity.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong ERP, Excel, MIS, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage high-value materials with exceptional integrity and accountability.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate / Diploma in Jewellery Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 15–20 years of relevant experience in jewellery manufacturing, including substantial experience in senior factory management.
- Experience managing large-scale jewellery production operations is highly preferred.
