About the Role
We are looking for a motivated QA Automation Intern to join our engineering team and support quality assurance activities for our software products. This is a stipend-only internship; there is no salary component. The intern will work closely with developers and QA engineers to design, execute, and automate test cases, ensuring high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for web and backend applications.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar bug-tracking systems.
- Participate in test planning, including test case creation, review, and coverage analysis.
- Perform regression and sanity testing for new features and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve test coverage.
- Learn and apply QA best practices, including test design, CI/CD integration, and reporting.
What We Expect
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts (test cases, regression, severity vs priority).
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Exposure (academic or project-based) to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Understanding of Agile development practices.
Internship Details
- Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance and business needs).
- Work Mode: Hybrid / Remote (flexible arrangement as per team policy).
- Stipend: Fixed monthly stipend (amount not disclosed in the post; details shared during onboarding).
- No salary or wage component; this is a stipend-based internship opportunity only.
- Potential for full-time offer / PPO based on performance and business needs (if applicable).
