Position Overview:
The Accounts Associate plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of M Space Academy by ensuring accurate accounting practices, statutory compliance, and efficient financial administration. The position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, student financial records, payroll, taxation, and financial reporting while supporting the academy's operational and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Roles & Responsibilities :
● Manage the academy's day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, GST billing, invoicing, voucher management, bank reconciliation, and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
● Administer student financial records, including fee collection, installment tracking, outstanding receivables, fee reconciliation, payroll processing, and maintenance of accurate financial documentation.
● Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements by managing GST, TDS, income tax documentation, statutory filings, and coordinating with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, and relevant government authorities.
● Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, budget and expense tracking reports, while supporting financial planning, cash flow monitoring, and informed management decision-making.
● Maintain complete confidentiality of financial information, implement effective accounting procedures and internal controls, and undertake additional finance and accounting responsibilities assigned by the management to support the academy's continued growth.
Technical Skills Required:
● Proficiency in Tally Prime (preferred) or similar accounting software.
● Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, ledger management, bank reconciliation, GST billing, payroll processing, and financial documentation.
● Working knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax documentation, and statutory compliance procedures.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
● Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and computerized accounting systems.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
● Professional certifications in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance will be considered an added advantage. Experience
● Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
● Experience in educational institutions, training organizations, or service-based organizations will be considered an advantage.
● Hands-on experience in statutory compliance, payroll processing, GST, TDS, and student fee management is preferred.
