Job Summary – Production Engineer
A Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production with high quality and minimal cost. The role involves optimizing production systems, improving workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
The Production Engineer works closely with design, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues, implement process improvements, and maintain safety standards. They also monitor production performance, analyze data, and suggest improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily production activities
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are met
- Monitor quality standards and implement improvements
- Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency
- Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality departments
- Maintain safety and compliance standards
- Prepare production reports and documentation
Skills Required
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tools
- Familiarity with AutoCAD / production software
- Good communication and teamwork
- Time management and leadership ability
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
(Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering preferred)
- Diploma in Engineering (for junior roles)
Experience
- Fresher or 1–3 years experience for junior roles
- 3–5+ years experience for senior production engineer
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning
- Understanding of quality standards (ISO 9001 preferred)
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks
- Familiarity with production tools, machines, and materials
