Position-Resident Engineer – L2 (Onsite)

About the Role
We are looking for an L2 Network Engineer to support and troubleshoot enterprise wired, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security environments. The role involves working with Arista Switching & Wireless, Silver Peak SD-WAN, Fortinet Firewalls, and Aruba ClearPass/Cisco ISE to ensure reliable network performance, support implementations, and resolve technical issues. The ideal candidate should have strong L2/L3 networking knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and experience working in enterprise network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide on-site L2 network engineering support for enterprise switching, wireless, and SD-WAN infrastructure across multi-vendor platforms.
· Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Arista wired and wireless networks — including switches, cloud-vision platform and Access Points.
· Implement and maintain wireless environments — AP onboarding, WLAN & RF templates, and site-level policy configuration.
· Experience in handling NAC solutions – Aruba ClearPass/Cisco ISE.
· Configure use-case-based policies and services on employee, IOT and guest devices.
· Thorough understanding on SSL, Radius- EAP-PEAP, EAP-TLS, TACACS protocol workflows.
· Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Silver-Peak SD-WAN — site provisioning, tunnel configuration, application QoS, and path conditioning.
· Administer and support Fortinet SD-WAN & next-generation firewalls — security policy configuration, VPN setup, NAT, routing, and monitoring.
· Participate in implementation, migration, and cutover activities, ensuring minimal downtime and quality assurance.
· Collaborate closely with enterprise engineering, operations, and design teams to ensure stable and optimized network performance.
· Perform health checks, generate reports, and recommend optimizations for wireless, wired, and SD-WAN environments.
Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking — VLANs, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, and routing fundamentals.
· Hands-on experience with Arista switching wireless and CV platform.
· Working knowledge of Silver-Peak Orchestrator and EdgeConnect configurations for SD-WAN setup and performance tuning.
· Practical experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls — SD-WAN routing, zones, VPN, and security policies.
· Familiarity with network analysis tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, and device-level diagnostics.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer interaction skills.
· Ability to create structured technical documentation and maintain configuration baselines.
Certifications:
· Preferred: Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5, Silver-Peak Deployment Specialist, CCNA or equivalent vendor network certifications on switching, wireless and NAC.
Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
