Job Description – AI/ML Lead
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/ML Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of our artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership skills to shape the roadmap, mentor the team, and deliver impactful solutions that align with our business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of AI/ML solutions, from problem definition to model deployment.
- Architect and implement scalable ML models, pipelines, and frameworks for production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, data science, business) to identify opportunities and deliver AI-driven solutions.
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML research, tools, and technologies, and assess their potential impact.
- Drive data strategy, ensuring quality, accessibility, and governance of datasets used for model training.
- Mentor and guide data scientists, ML engineers, and junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Ensure ethical, responsible, and explainable AI practices are followed in all projects.
Project Responsibilities: This person is responsible for the "intelligence" part of IRIMS. They will build the algorithms that establish the 4-week behavioural baselines , write the correlation logic that links network drops to POS failures, and build the MLOps pipeline that automatically retrains the models before peak retail seasons.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field (PhD preferred).
- Proven experience in AI/ML development and deployment at scale.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools (Kubeflow, MLflow, Airflow).
- Solid understanding of data engineering, feature engineering, and model optimization.
- Strong background in deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems (depending on company focus).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
- Experience in designing AI/ML products for SaaS or enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience building and leading AI/ML teams.
- Key Skills: Python, Scikit-learn/TensorFlow, Time-series forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, or deep learning equivalents), Kubernetes model deployment, and Kafka data streaming.
Pay: ₹548,642.65 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
