A Ward Nurse provides comprehensive, direct care to patients in hospital units, monitoring their vital signs, administering medications, and implementing care plans. They collaborate with medical teams to support treatments, manage patient hygiene, maintain accurate records, and provide emotional support to patients and families during their hospital stay.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Patient Assessment & Care: Assessing, planning, and implementing individual patient care plans, including monitoring conditions and responding to emergencies.
- Clinical Procedures: Administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting physicians with examinations and procedures.
- Observation & Documentation: Monitoring vital signs, checking for infection, and maintaining accurate medical records and charts.
- Admission & Discharge: Managing the process of admitting new patients and preparing documentation and instructions for patient discharge.
- Ward Management: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment, managing inventory, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Communication & Support: Communicating with families, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and providing education on health management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A diploma, associate degree (ADN), or bachelor’s degree (BSN) in nursing.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license recognized by the respective state or national council.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting is often required, particularly for specialized wards (e.g., surgical, medical).
- Key Skills: Strong communication, emotional stability, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
