Purpose of this role: Take drawing and file work off Pulkit so he can spend his time on design ideas, USH and clients. This role is here to reduce his work, not add to it.
A. WHAT YOU DO ON YOUR OWN (finish it fully and check it yourself)
- Once Pulkit tells you the design direction, build the full Level B 3D model. It must be ready to make — proper shape, joints, hardware and wiring all done.
- Make the complete set of production drawings — 2D drawings, section views, assembly drawings and DXF files.
- Make and keep the BOM, render files and correct version numbers for every project.
- Save all project files on the company drive with the right name, version and approval record. Saving files is part of the job. If the files are not complete, the design is not complete.
- Handle sample work with the workshop — give them the drawings, follow up for samples and note down problems. "Sample is not ready" does not mean your job is done. If a sample is stuck, tell Pulkit the same day.
B. WHAT YOU DO, BUT PULKIT CHECKS BEFORE IT MOVES
- Make the Level A 3D models and presentation renders based on Pulkit's sketch or direction. Pulkit decides the idea; you do the modelling.
- Make the standard (1B) designs using the company's existing standards. Pulkit checks and approves before the design moves ahead.
- Collect vendor and production questions — material, parts, and what can be made — and bring them to Pulkit. Pulkit takes the decision.
C. WHAT YOU DO NOT DO (Pulkit handles these)
- Do not present to or take approval from USH or the client at any stage. Pulkit handles all USH and client steps. Your name will not appear at any USH approval step.
- Do not decide or design complex/custom (1A) work on your own.
- Do not confirm handover to Purchase. Pulkit confirms handover.
D. WORKING RULES
- Before you give any work to Pulkit, check it yourself: wall thickness, joints, key sizes, correct layers and names, and full BOM. "It looks done" is not enough. An unchecked file is not finished work.
- Save Pulkit's time. Keep your questions together and ask them in the fixed daily check-in. Only disturb him in between if you are fully stuck and cannot move.
- Start from the approved reference library and old products, not from a blank file, whenever a standard part already exists.
- Finish work by the given date. If there is any delay, dependency or approval problem, tell Pulkit early. Staying quiet till the deadline is not allowed.
E. FIRST 30 DAYS
- This is a learning time. Pulkit will watch your work closely while you learn the company's standards, drawings and way of working.
- By the end of this period, you should be doing the full Level B detailing and all project files on your own, so that Pulkit has more free time, not less.
STANDARD WORKFLOW POSITION
Level A (idea) → decided by Pulkit, modelled by you → Level B (detailing) → done by you → Production drawings and files → done by you → Handover → confirmed by Pulkit before it is sent to USH or the client for final Approval.
