Location: Hybrid (Pimpri/PCMC or nearby) – 2 days in office per week
Role Overview
CTutor is looking for a UI/UX Designer who can translate complex learning journeys into clean, engaging, and accessible experiences. You will own end‑to‑end design for key product areas: from initial research and wireframes to high‑fidelity UI and developer‑ready specs. This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office for whiteboarding, design reviews, and close collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to deeply understand students’, parents’, and teachers’ needs.
- Map user journeys and design intuitive flows for core features such as problem‑solving screens, progress tracking, and practice sessions.
- Create wireframes, low‑fidelity prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI designs for web and/or mobile.
- Develop and maintain a consistent design system (components, typography, color, iconography) that supports scalability and accessibility.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and content/AI teams to refine requirements and ensure design feasibility.
- Hand off designs with clear documentation, interaction details, and responsive behavior.
- Incorporate analytics and user feedback into iterative design improvements.
- Ensure designs follow accessibility best practices (contrast, font sizes, focus states, error handling, etc.).
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end product design work (web and/or mobile), preferably including edtech, SaaS, or productivity tools.
- Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma preferred; Sketch/XD acceptable).
- Solid understanding of UX fundamentals: information architecture, interaction design, usability, and user research methods.
- Strong visual design skills: layout, typography, spacing, color, and responsive design.
- Experience creating and working with design systems and reusable components.
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for AI‑powered products or chat/assistant interfaces.
- Background in edtech or familiarity with learning/tutoring workflows.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or front‑end implementation constraints.
- Experience with prototyping tools and motion/interaction design (e.g., smart animations, micro‑interactions).
Personal Attributes
- User‑obsessed mindset with a strong bias toward clarity and simplicity.
- Comfortable in a fast‑moving startup environment with rapid iterations.
- Collaborative, low‑ego, and open to feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership from concept to delivery.
Work Model
- Hybrid role:
- Minimum 2 days per week in office for collaboration, workshops, and design critiques.
- Remaining days remote with clear ownership of deliverables and timelines.
