About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Head to lead our interior and modular installation vertical. This role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and end-to-end coordination with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless and quality execution of SUNROOOF installations from post design to post installation.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing multiple project sites, handling on-ground teams, maintaining quality and client satisfaction, and driving efficiency in both cost and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage the installation division across multiple zones (Delhi NCR and outstation projects).
- Supervise and coordinate with Installation Managers, Project Managers, Designers Site Supervisors, Fitters, and Installers to ensure productivity and adherence to timelines.
- Conduct regular training and performance reviews to enhance team skill levels and overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety norms, and on-site discipline to maintain a productive work environment.
2. Project Planning & Execution:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor installation activities across all project sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Review design and production drawings prior to dispatch to prevent errors or delays.
- Conduct site readiness checks, monitor daily progress, and coordinate closely with Design, Production, and Logistics teams for smooth execution.
- Ensure a high percentage of projects are completed on time and continuously work on reducing delay ratios.
3. Quality Assurance & Standardization:
- Implement and maintain standardized installation procedures across all sites.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with brand quality benchmarks.
- Focus on minimizing rework, installation defects, and customer complaints by maintaining a consistent site quality score and continuous improvement practices.
- Achieving the average rating of 4.8/5 or higher.
4. Client Communication & Coordination:
- Act as the single point of contact for clients throughout the installation process.
- Provide timely updates, manage escalations effectively, and ensure smooth project handovers.
- Coordinate with clients for milestone-based approvals and payment follow-ups while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and quick resolution of issues within defined timelines.
5. Cost & Resource Optimization:
- Monitor material usage to minimize wastage and control on-site expenses.
- Optimize manpower deployment and resource utilization to improve efficiency.
- Analyze cost variances across projects and ensure financial discipline while maintaining rework and wastage within acceptable limits.
6. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed installation reports, site photos, and completion checklists for all projects.
- Ensure all documentation related to warranty, quality, and handover is properly completed.
- Submit accurate weekly and monthly MIS reports along with audit data to the management team in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in interior project execution or installation management.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills with experience managing multiple sites.
- Experience of handling a team size of 70+ including direct and indirect reportings.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
- In-depth knowledge of modular furniture, civil/interior fit-outs, and vendor management.
- Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
