ob Title: LT Electrician (Low Tension Electrician)
Job Summary
The LT Electrician is responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems (up to 415V). The role ensures safe and efficient functioning of electrical equipment and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operation & Maintenance
Operate and maintain LT panels, MCCs (Motor Control Centers), PCC panels, and DBs (Distribution Boards)
Monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, load, and power factor
Ensure uninterrupted power supply to plant/facility
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs
Identify and rectify electrical faults in LT systems contact person - 7388761888 PREETI HR
Attend breakdowns of motors, pumps, compressors, lighting systems, etc.
Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance
3. Installation & Wiring
Perform electrical wiring, cable laying, termination, and panel connections
Install lighting systems, switches, sockets, and earthing systems
Assist in new project installations and modifications
4. Safety Compliance
Follow electrical safety norms and PPE usage
Ensure proper earthing and protection systems
Adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
Maintain safe working conditions
5. Preventive Maintenance
Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment
Maintain checklists and logbooks
Conduct insulation resistance (IR) testing, continuity checks
6. Documentation
Maintain maintenance records and breakdown reports
Update electrical drawings and logs
Assist in audits and compliance documentation
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of LT electrical systems (up to 415V)
Understanding of motors, starters (DOL, Star-Delta), relays, and contactors
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Basic knowledge of PLC (preferred)
Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
Qualification
ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Valid electrical license (if required by state regulations)
Experience
2–5 years in industrial / plant maintenance (preferred)
