Role Summary
Big Socials is seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Associate to serve as the backbone of our growing team. This is a multi-faceted role that bridges the gap between our creative output and the operational health of the company. You will handle the critical day-to-day functions of HR, financial bookkeeping, and office administration, ensuring our team has the support and resources they need to create impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR & People Operations
- Talent Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the integration of new hires, including contract issuance, documentation, and orientation.
- Policy & Culture: Maintain employee records, track attendance, and support the implementation of company policies to maintain a positive work environment.
2. Finance & Bookkeeping
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage invoices, track client payments, and ensure timely vendor disbursements.
- Payroll Processing: Support the preparation of payroll and maintain accurate records of employee benefits and taxes.
- Reporting: Assist management with basic financial reporting, expense tracking, and budget monitoring.
3. General Administration
- Office Management: Oversee office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Documentation: Ensure all company files, legal documents, and contracts are organized and accessible.
- Executive Support: Assist leadership with scheduling, travel arrangements, and basic administrative errands as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, HR, or financial role, preferably within a startup or marketing agency environment.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets is mandatory. Experience with payroll software, Tally, or accounting tools (e.g., Odoo, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Organizational Agility: A self-starter who can multitask, prioritize effectively, and switch between high-level finance tasks and granular office administration.
