Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and proactive Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will
play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our clients and the software development team. This
position requires a blend of technical expertise, functional knowledge and exceptional communication
skills to effectively manage client relationships and ensure the successful delivery of software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Business Analysis Skills
● Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with clients to gather, analyse and document
business requirements. Translate client requirements into clear and actionable specifications for
the software development team.
● Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to identify hidden business needs, connect
fragmented user stories, and derive clear, comprehensive, and actionable functional
requirements.
● Business Process Design: Ability to envision and design end-to-end digital process flows
by incorporating process re-engineering, workflow optimization, and appropriate
automation.
● Solution-Oriented Approach: Evaluate client suggestions critically and recommend logical,
scalable, and business-centric solutions rather than merely documenting requested features.
● Requirement Translation: Convert complex business requirements into well-structured
Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user
stories, and acceptance criteria for the development team.
● Stakeholder Communication: Demonstrate exceptional questioning, facilitation, and
communication skills to uncover underlying business objectives and align stakeholders on the
optimal solution.
Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
● Collaborate with clients to gather, analyse and document business requirements. Translate
client requirements into clear and actionable specifications for the software development team.
Client Management:
● Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs,
objectives, and requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
through regular communication and engagement.
Techno-Functional Expertise:
● Serve as a bridge between the business and technical teams, possessing a deep understanding
of both domains. Communicate effectively with software developers to ensure alignment
between client expectations and technical implementation.
Software Testing and Quality Assurance:
● Work closely with the QA team to define test plans, scenarios, and acceptance criteria based
on client requirements. Participate in testing activities to validate software functionality and
ensure high-quality deliverables.
Solution Design:
● Assist in the design and configuration of software solutions to meet client needs. Provide
input on system architecture, user interface design, and functional enhancements.
Training and Handholding:
● Provide training and support to clients during the implementation phase and post-deployment.
Assist users in understanding and utilizing the software effectively through hands-on guidance
and documentation.
Project Coordination:
● Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on time and
within-budget project delivery. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively
address issues to mitigate potential delays.
Continuous Improvement:
● Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the
business domain. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the
enhancement of internal methodologies and practices.
Documentation:
● Create required documentation for project plan, project reports, SRS, FRS, etc. for projects.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, BE/ B-Tech,
ME/M Tech, MCA.
● Proven experience (2-5 years) working as a Business Analyst in the IT industry, preferably
in a client facing role.
● Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business
requirements into technical solutions.
● Proficiency in software testing principles and practices, including test planning, execution,
and defect management.
● Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact
effectively with clients and internal teams.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing
multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
