Job Summary
The Store Manager will be responsible for managing the hotel’s complete store and inventory operations, ensuring proper receiving, storage, issuance, stock control, and timely availability of materials required by all hotel departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hotel store operations and maintain proper inventory records.
- Receive and verify food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, kitchen materials, stationery, and other hotel supplies.
- Check quantity, quality, specifications, expiry dates, and condition of received materials.
- Maintain proper GRN (Goods Received Note) and supporting documentation.
- Issue materials to various departments against approved requisitions.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Follow proper FIFO/FEFO methods, especially for food and perishable items.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, cleanliness, and organization of the store.
- Monitor expiry dates and prevent wastage, damage, or pilferage.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Kitchen, Housekeeping, F&B, Accounts, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate stock registers, inventory reports, and issue/receipt records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, hygiene standards, safety procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor stock consumption and identify unusual variances or excessive usage.
- Support monthly stock audits and assist the Accounts/Finance team during inventory verification.
- Ensure all store-related documents are properly maintained and available for audit.
- Supervise store assistants/helpers and allocate duties effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in hotel stores, inventory, or hospitality operations.
- Good knowledge of inventory control and store management procedures.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory/software systems.
- Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, stock reconciliation, and documentation.
