Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager – Civil to lead and manage quality assurance and quality control activities for our civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and client/consultant requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, checklists and method statements.
- Monitor and ensure quality compliance throughout all stages of civil construction activities.
- Review approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, method statements and material submittals.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients and subcontractors on all quality-related matters.
- Supervise and guide QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors and site quality teams.
- Conduct and monitor WIR/MIR inspections, material inspections and site quality inspections.
- Ensure proper inspection and testing of RCC, concrete, reinforcement, structural works, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing and other civil works.
- Monitor concrete quality including slump tests, cube tests, batching records and laboratory test reports.
- Ensure required testing of soil, aggregates, cement, steel, concrete and other construction materials.
- Verify that materials received at site comply with approved specifications and standards.
- Identify, record and close NCRs, observations and quality non-conformities.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure all inspection and test records, quality reports and documentation are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with third-party laboratories and testing agencies.
- Conduct internal quality audits and support client/consultant audits.
- Ensure calibration and validity of testing and measuring equipment.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly QA/QC reports to management.
- Ensure proper documentation for Testing & Inspection Plans, Material Approvals, Method Statements, Checklists and Test Reports.
- Promote quality awareness among site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, project specifications, approved drawings and contractual requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce rework, defects and quality-related costs.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC in civil construction projects.
- Strong experience in building, commercial, residential, institutional or infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of IS Codes, construction specifications and quality standards.
- Experience in handling client/consultant inspections and quality audits.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Civil QA/QC procedures and construction quality standards.
- Good understanding of RCC, structural, finishing and architectural works.
- Knowledge of ITP, WIR, MIR, NCR, Method Statements, Checklists and Quality Plans.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage quality activities under project deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience in large-scale building / commercial / residential / institutional construction projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Relevant QA/QC certifications will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
