About the Role
We are looking for skilled Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Marathi Translators to localise technology and AI-based learning content for MSME owners, entrepreneurs and business users.
The content covers practical topics such as Artificial Intelligence, automation, digital tools, online business, customer communication, e-commerce, software and digital workflows.
This role requires more than word-for-word translation. You will be responsible for creating natural, market-friendly and easy-to-understand regional-language content while preserving the technical accuracy and meaning of the English source.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and localise English AI and technology-based learning content into Hindi, Kannada, Telugu or Marathi.
- Understand the complete context before translating each sentence.
- Translate the meaning and intent rather than translating word-for-word.
- Use simple, natural and professional language suitable for MSME owners and business learners.
- Maintain the friendly, practical and easy-to-understand tone of the English source.
- Appropriately translate, retain or transliterate technology terminology based on real-world usage.
- Maintain consistency in terminology throughout the complete project.
- Follow the approved project terminology glossary.
- Keep standard abbreviations such as AI, MSME, ROI, URL, PDF, QR, OTP, UPI, API, CRM, ERP, SEO, B2B and B2C in English where appropriate.
- Keep brand and product names such as Microsoft, WhatsApp, Instagram, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Canva, Google and YouTube unchanged.
- Transliterate commonly used technology terms such as Automation, Chatbot, Software, Dashboard, Login, Data, Prompt and Workflow where appropriate.
- Preserve all numbers, percentages, currencies, units, durations and symbols exactly as provided in the English source.
- Preserve headings, bullets, activities, checklists, answer blanks, symbols and step-by-step instructions.
- Ensure that technical statements, limitations and claims remain accurate and unchanged.
- Perform complete human editing and contextual review before submission.
- Flag technical, factual, numerical or source-language issues instead of independently changing the original content.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognised university.
- Excellent command of at least one target language:
- Hindi
- Kannada
- Telugu
- Marathi
- Strong English reading comprehension.
- Previous professional translation or localisation experience.
- Excellent understanding of grammar, vocabulary and writing conventions in the target language.
- Ability to write natural, contemporary and professional regional-language content.
- Comfortable working with English technical terminology, abbreviations and transliteration.
- Understanding of commonly used AI and technology terminology.
- Ability to preserve technical meaning accurately during translation.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to follow terminology glossaries and project-specific guidelines.
- Ability to independently perform translation, editing and quality checks.
- Machine translation output must not be submitted without complete human translation, editing and contextual review.

Marathi Translator
- Use simple, contemporary professional Marathi.
- Avoid overly literary or difficult vocabulary.
- Retain commonly recognised English technology terminology where it improves clarity.
- Maintain a practical tone suitable for business and training content.
Kannada Translator
- Use clear, contemporary Kannada suitable for digital learning and business audiences.
- Appropriately transliterate commonly used technology terminology.
- Avoid unfamiliar formal equivalents when commonly used English terminology would be clearer.
Telugu Translator
- Use natural, modern Telugu suitable for business learners.
- Avoid highly formal or literary language for everyday technology concepts.
- Retain or transliterate commonly recognised technology terms where this improves understanding.
Quality Standards
Before submission, translators must verify:
- No sentence or heading is missed.
- No bullet point or activity is missed.
- All instructions are complete and actionable.
- Numbers and units remain unchanged.
- Abbreviations are handled correctly.
- Brand names remain unchanged.
- Technical terminology follows the approved glossary.
- Translation sounds natural and human-written.
- No machine-translation style remains.
- Technical meaning has not changed.
- The content is understandable to a non-technical business user.
- Terminology is consistent throughout the module.
Important
This position is focused on localisation, not literal translation.
The goal is to help learners understand AI and technology concepts easily in their own language while also recognising the technology terminology they will encounter in real-world software, apps and business environments.
Translate the explanation. Retain or transliterate technology vocabulary when appropriate. Keep standard abbreviations and brand names in English wherever required.
