Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Efficiency
- Conduct operation breakdown and work study for all garment styles.
- Establish Standard Minute Value (SMV) for all operations.
- Monitor line efficiency and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze bottlenecks and implement productivity improvement plans.
- Balance production lines to achieve optimum output.
2. Time Study & Motion Study
- Conduct time studies using standard IE techniques.
- Perform motion study to eliminate unnecessary movements.
- Prepare operation bulletins and process flow charts.
- Maintain updated SMV database.
3. Line Balancing
- Prepare line layouts before production starts.
- Allocate manpower based on operation capacity.
- Rebalance lines whenever style or production changes.
- Monitor hourly production performance.
4. Capacity Planning
- Calculate production capacity.
- Estimate manpower requirement.
- Plan machine requirement for new styles.
- Coordinate with Production and Merchandising for capacity loading.
5. Productivity Improvement
- Identify non-value-added activities.
- Reduce idle time and waiting time.
- Improve operator performance.
- Suggest continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
6. Cost Control
- Monitor garment manufacturing cost.
- Reduce overtime through proper planning.
- Improve machine utilization.
- Control wastage of time and resources.
7. Performance Monitoring
- Prepare daily efficiency reports.
- Monitor DHU (Defects per Hundred Units) with QA.
- Track absenteeism impact on production.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly IE reports.
8. New Style Development
- Prepare operation sequence.
- Conduct pilot run analysis.
- Estimate production targets.
- Support PP meetings with production feasibility.
9. Training & Development
- Train operators on best working methods.
- Guide line supervisors on line balancing.
- Improve operator skill matrix.
- Conduct productivity awareness programs.
10. Coordination
Coordinate effectively with:
- Production Department
- Quality Department
- Cutting Department
- Finishing Department
- Maintenance Team
- Merchandising Team
- Planning Department
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
